Hello, hello!

I hope these tips will give you some new inspiration for your own swimming training. Swimming should by no means be boring swimming from one end of the pool to the other (although sometimes that has its time and place), but rather varied, also for the reason that motivation is better maintained. During my own coaching career of over 10 years, I have found that this is the key to long-term training and development.

Swimming trunks

Do kicks interfere with your training or do you feel like they are just slowing you down? What if you tried swimming with a buoy? Swimming with a buoy helps you relax your lower body, find the right and more streamlined swimming position, and strengthen your arm stroke. If you feel that you are losing your grip on the water, e.g. after a short break, try scalling with a buoy.

NOTE! Many swimming pools also offer these for loan, but if you have a puller in your own equipment bag, you will always have it wherever you are and whenever you need it. Check out the models here .

Flippers

Do you need more power in your kicks or more speed in your swimming? Then fins are the right choice for you. With fins, your kick will be more efficient, so much so that you no longer even need a swim board to help you practice your kicks. With fins, you will also get more speed in your swimming if you want to try a few swimming sprints. Fins are definitely a must-have in your gear bag and of course in your favorite colors! Gloves

Does your handstroke feel inefficient and flat? Did you know that underwater, the handstroke should always be accelerating and above water, the handstroke return should be calm? You can practice this, for example, with hand paddles, which give you a better feel for the water and make it easier to visualize your own handstroke. Smaller paddles are better suited for technique training, while larger ones are better suited for strength training. Check out the models here .
