What is water running?
Water running is a sport in which you run against the buoyant force of water and the resistance it creates. The sport is excellent because it is suitable for almost everyone and is very joint-friendly, which is why it is also used as a form of rehabilitation in various injury situations.
Water running is also a very efficient sport, allowing you to burn up to 500kcal per hour. At the same time, water running brings several health benefits even with short training sessions. However, it is not worth jerking off when running in water, so that your technique remains upright and your posture is sufficiently upright. So you can gradually extend your training time from, for example, 10 minutes to an hour.

Water running technique
Water running is not a difficult sport, but it is important to take care of the correct posture. A straight, upright position is the cornerstone of the technique. The movement made by the legs is a running-like pedaling. The knee must rise properly and then it is important to take the entire leg, including the ankle, backwards. The hands make a large sweeping movement with the fingers together. A hard-working water runner gets more power from their training by leaving out the hand strokes altogether.
It is best to do a water running workout for at least half an hour at a time, but even a shorter 10-minute workout will provide health benefits. The pace is relaxed, and you shouldn't rush. Of course, you can take different sprints, but even then it is important to maintain the correct technique. If you want to do a more effective workout, you can, for example, alternate between going briskly for one minute and calmly for one minute, or briskly for three minutes with a one-minute recovery, and repeat this five times, for example.

Water running equipment
Water running is made easier and more effective by the equipment developed for it. The most important equipment is a water running belt, water running shoes and water running gloves, which on the one hand make the training easier, but on the other hand also make it more effective.
Water running shoes
Water running shoes are an excellent addition to water running training, as they make the workout more versatile and effective. The shoes add resistance to movements and allow for more effective exercises.
Water running belt
The water running belt helps keep your body in the right position in the water, allowing you to focus on an efficient running movement without touching the bottom. The belt is suitable for runners of all levels and makes water running easier on the joints thanks to the support.
Water running gloves
Water running gloves increase water resistance, which enhances upper body muscle work and especially develops muscle fitness in the arms and shoulders. Water running gloves add extra power to your workouts and make moving in the water more versatile.
