The Thunder wetsuit brings comfort to open water swimming and makes it easier to maintain the correct swimming position. The Thunder wetsuit has the optimal combination of flexibility, buoyancy and insulation. The suit combines Arena's hydrodynamic expertise with high-quality materials, tailored to the needs of the beginner open water swimmer.
The suit is made of high-quality and durable #38 Yamamoto limestone neoprene. No oil is used in the production of the ecological neoprene. The neoprene is reinforced with a Nano SCS coating, which reduces water resistance and improves glide.
The wetsuit has three different thicknesses of neoprene, which are strategically placed to increase buoyancy, improve body position and allow room for movement. The thickest, 4 mm neoprene is in the mid-body area, which stabilizes and improves the buoyancy of the suit. The thinnest, 2 mm neoprene is in the arms and shoulders, which gives room for hand and upper body movement and reduces response during pulls. The 3 mm neoprene in the upper chest and legs provides warmth and helps the legs stay close to the surface. The medium-thickness neoprene optimally combines flexibility and buoyancy.
The wetsuit's neckline is made of soft, non-chafing material. The back has a traditional bottom-up zipper that is tight and easy to open and close. The seams, sewn with double blind stitching, are durable and completely waterproof. The inside is lined with polyester.
The Thunder wetsuit meets international competition standards. The suit is FINA, World Triathlon (ITU), Ironman and USAT approved.
